From News Center (Text and Photo by secondary schools and the Publicity Department of the CPC LZPU Committee) Recently, four departments of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region—the Federation of Trade Unions, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security—jointly issued a notice, naming 40 individuals as "Guangxi Craftsmen" for 2025. Among them, six honorees are from Liuzhou, including our accomplished alumni Chen Xianxin and Huang Zhimin, whose recognition reflects the solid professional foundation and steadfast craftsmanship spirit cultivated at LZPU.

Chen Xianxin graduated from LZPU's School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 2005 with a major in mold manufacturing technology. He is now an expert technician at Liuzhou Wuling New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., part of Guangxi Automobile Group. Specializing in new energy vehicles, Chen has led trial production of more than 20 models, solved over 90 technical challenges, holds 22 national patents, and generated nearly RMB 100 million in economic benefits for the company. As head of a region-level skills master studio, he actively promotes "teaching, assisting, and mentoring," and has cultivated 13 highly skilled professionals. Chen has received numerous honors, including the National New Energy Vehicle Key Technology Skills Competition Award, the Guangxi Skills Award, the Guangxi May 1st Labor Medal, and  recognition as an expert eligible for the State Council's special government allowance.

Huang Zhimin graduated from LZPU's School of Environmental and Food Engineering in 2012 with a major in industrial analysis and inspection. She is currently a chemical analysis technical expert at Guangxi Liuzhou Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. For over a decade, she has worked on the front lines of raw material chemical analysis, maintaining "zero errors," leading 43 major technical breakthroughs, drafting three national recommended analytical standards, and earning two patents. Her work has overcome the "bottleneck" of domestic instruments long dependent on imported consumables. Her accolades include "National Mechanical Metallurgical Building Materials Industry Post Technical Expert," "National May 1st Women's Model," "Guangxi May 1st Labor Medal," and "Guangxi Technical Expert." She was also elected as a delegate to the 15th Congress of the Communist Youth League of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The journeys of these two alumni vividly embody LZPU's philosophy of "developing talent through practical skills and serving the country with ingenuity." By building a strong professional foundation at LZPU and growing into industry leaders through school-enterprise collaborative training, they set a model for future students. LZPU will continue to deepen industry-education integration, producing more highly skilled professionals for "a strong manufacturing city and robust industry for Guangxi," and will keep writing new chapters in vocational education that support regional development.
